What's this?
Forth is an awesome stackbased programming language,
which is able to extend itself during runtime.
As there is nothing like cpan or pecl for Forth, this
site attemts to get there someday.
Of course this will only happen if you contribute ;)
How does it work?
You can search, browse and download any projects.
If you want to create your own project or comment on existing ones, a login is required.
Don't panic now, there is no signup required, just use your existing OpenId.
If you've never heard of OpenId before, check out OpenId Explained.
However, we have been asked to provide an alternative to OpenId, so you can also register with your email address if you prefer that way.
To add some more social web features, once you log in and enter your email address, a Gravatar image is displayed next to your account.
If you are searching for the login button, the closest thing is probably Manage or the login link in the footer. Login boxes just appear whenever they are required, so you don't need to login before you start contributing on the website.
Upcomming features
We are working on something like apt-get for this platform. The idea is to fetch a packet and all its dependencies directly onto your harddrive.
You can discuss or provide feedback to this homepage in the-Forth-net project.
